Rare and ORIGINAL hardcover “Theory and Practice Of Color” published 1920 by The PRANG Company. Third Edition. By Bonnie Snow and Hugo Froehlich. Nine complete plates of colour charts - hand painted! - with protective tissue paper overlay (one tissue loose). Modern reprints do not include the fantastic, bright offres colour swatches and rainbow frontispiece.

Very Good+ for a 104 year old book. Light brown cloth (or “gray yellow orange”, according to PRANG hues) with blue titles/border. Heavily rubbed top corners and shelf-rubbed bottom boards. Area at right bottom cover was once water logged - no stains or smell or mold. Tiny circle of spine paper missing. Cracked front hinge; tight binding and all pages. Previous owners' names written inside board; no other writing. Light foxing along some page gutters. The best copy I've seen of the two available for sale and miles better than reprints.
